RESEARCH EQUIPMENT:We have already initiated research studies on our land, however we could do much more if we had better equipment. Any donation will directly support the protection and conservation of this fascinating biodiverse area we live in!- Camera traps - if possible Reconyx Hyperfire HC600 or Wildgame Innovations IR5D - GPS receivers - Radio and satellite tracking devices - Waterproof tents and basic camping equipment - Optical microscopes - Binoculars - Night vision devices - Raincoats and umbrellas
VETERINARY EQUIPMENT:To engage in the rescue and rehabilitation and planned release of wild animals includes carrying out thorough medical evaluations, clinical examinations and quarantine periods. In order to do this, we need your help!- Inhalational anaesthetic set - Surgical tools - Portable pulse oximeter - Microchip implants - Optical microscopes - TEL-INJECT darts set: 3ml darts, needles, silicone needle plugs, syringe with coupling device attached - If you have the opportunity to bring us veterinary drugs for our clinic, please contact us. Many drugs are very difficult and/or expensive to acquire here in Ecuador - we have a list of the ones that you may be able to transport in between countries. - Antiseptics such as clorhexidine (Novalsan) - Diff-Quick (a commercial Romanowsky stain variant) - Any other supplies such as bandages, gauzes, etc
BOOKS:In order to carry out research studies, we are constantly striving to build up our library in order to offer a wider variety of literature tools to our team.- Any books about the wild plants and animals of South America, specifically of Ecuador, including veterinary literature of wild animals. BUILDING EQUIPMENT:As you might know by now, we are in the process of building various structures on our land such as a clinic, a laboratory, a quarantine area, a water system and volunteer accomodation. Once completed these will be used to carry out research studies, rescue and rehabilitate wild animals and plants and to accomodate small groups of volunteers and researchers!- Power tools such as a circular saw and a drill - Electric generator - Any other basic tools such as hammers and shovels
