How To Help
VOLUNTEER
The Flor de la Amazonía Animal Rescue Group is a "not-for-profit" organisation that relies heavily on volunteers, donations and grants in order to keep saving the endangered, threatened and mistreated wild animals of Ecuador, as well as protect plants and the environment.
There is no doubt that help is needed here, and our main concern is making sure that all of the opportunities offered through the Flor de la Amazonía Animal Rescue Group are "not-for-profit" and are solely focused on the appropriate support and care of the endangered animals and plants of Ecuador, on improving their future and guaranteeing the future of their species.
For volunteers there are great opportunities out here, working directly with and for the wild animals of Ecuador while experiencing living in the unique and stunningly beautiful surroundings of the Amazon rainforest.
If you would like to assist us as a volunteer first read our Volunteering section where you will find all the necessary information about this opportunity. For bookings or enquiries please contact us directly.
DONATE
We are currently trying to identify and apply to as many potential funding organisations as possible, in order to ensure that the centre to be developed continues to operate to the standards we believe are suitable for the endangered animals and plants of Ecuador.
If you are aware of any possible funders, benefactors, potential volunteers or other opportunities for assisting us, please contact us as soon as possible.
If you are in a position to help us financially to any extent, we would be immensely grateful.
Below you will find the link to our Paypal account which enables you to donate if you wish to.
JOIN OUR SUPPORT GROUP IN THE UK
We now have a recognised/registered charity based in the United Kingdom to support our future work here in Ecuador! It is called Flor de la Amazonia Group and its registered number is SC 040950.
There is a committed and supportive group of people over there who are planning to continue to support our work here in a number of ways. This includes fundraising, talking to other groups, schools, colleges and universities about our work, and planning to attract and support future volunteers.
They have a website in preparation (www.flordelaamazonia.org ) and have a formed other networks including using twitter and facebook. If you would like to be involved or to find out further information, please contact Gary or any other of the members there at gary.rose@flordelaamazonia.org or support@flordelaamazonia.org . They have just achieved recognition for tax purposes and continue to develop the organisation.
There is lots to do and we wish them well and are very pleased to have their support – it means a great deal to know that there are others out there who believe in what we have done, and will continue to do, for the endangered animals, plants and environment of Ecuador!
