WORKING TO CONSERVE THE RAINFOREST ALIVE, CLEAN & DIVERSE

The Amazonian forests of Ecuador are at stake. Every day thousands of endangered plants and animals are hunted and exploited extensively, hundreds of hectares of forest are cleared and the rivers and other natural resources that thousands of species sustain on, including our own, are increasingly contaminated. Fundación Fauna de la Amazonía works in the buffer zone of the Llanganates National Park in Mera, in the Pastaza region, one of the top biodiverse areas of Ecuador and the World. Here we are developing a wildlife conservation centre while increasing established protected areas working closely with other projects in the Pastaza Region. We strive to protect wildlife and our natural resources alongside other groups and individuals fighting for the same cause.

Many of the projects that we work with are maintained and funded by volunteers, whom are a vital part of the work team of each centre. These volunteer projects are aimed at all people fascinated with the natural world and its creatures, at all people who want to contribute to saving one of the most unique places on Earth, of inestimable importance to world ecology.
