RESEARCH STUDIES

Fundación Fauna de la Amazonía is situated near the Llanganates National Park in the Pastaza Province of Ecuador. Here, alongside other conservation groups and organisations, we have initiated studies to provide information about the presence and abundance of species of fauna and flora living within the buffer zone of the National Park. Further on these studies may contribute in providing new data on the range and territories of these species.

We are looking for experienced researchers who would like to come and help us venture out into the forest and discover what lives there. Our team has only been in this area for a year, so bear in mind there is a lot to do!

If you would like to support us by donating research equipment please read our DONATE IT page, or donate a few dollars through our Givengain donation page.

Accommodation and Contribution:

We are working on building a cabin for volunteers and researchers. In the meantime we can offer tents/mattresses and mosquito nets for sleeping and access to the kitchen. We require a contribution of $50/week/person, which covers food and a small contribution towards maintenance of the project. Note that currently we are all volunteer workers, and that without this contribution we would not be able to organise these placements.

If you are interested email us detailing your experience and reasons why you want to work here.
